These wonderful eggs come from open pasture chickens roaming certified organic sources of Wongaya Gede and Payangan in North Ubud. These chickies roam free, hormone free, antibiotic free and 100% natural. They only eat what nature provides, and act as a method of pest control, making the use of pesticide unnecessary.
The eggs are Open Pasture, the chickens eat primarily foraged food from the certified organic “subak” (rice paddies). Occasionally they are also fed corn (non GMO ofc) and other grains grown in the subak.
They are never given any feed or soy, or anything outside of the certified organic subak.
Though slightly smaller in size these eggies (‘telor’ in Bahasa) have a yummy and distinctive taste that will give your brekky and cooking a definite local “edge”.
We receive these as freshly laid (no more than 2 days) every week, to guarantee the freshness of the product, which are regularly tested by our supplier.

The chickens roam free with the roosters. It keeps them happy and producing.
This means some eggs can be fertilised e.g. can have a slightly different coloured yolk – the colour and consistency of every yolk is random. Just like nature is random.
So you can expect the occassional different egg/all eggs won’t be the same.
