AYURVEDIC SMOOTHIE BOWL – By Helen Einlo

Ayurveda is all about warm & combining ingredient to ease our digestion. Smoothies are such a great way to get all our nutrients together & playing around with different colours & flavours to suit your body type can be a fun experiment. INGREDIENTS

1 small cup of precooked oats

1/2 apple (cooked inside the oats)

1 frozen banana (its the only fruit I use frozen because I love the consistency)

1/2 fresh dragonfruit

1/4 fresh papaya

3 dates (cooked inside the oats)

1 small cup of almond milk or any other non dairy milk

1 tsp ashwagandha (powerful ayurredic adaptogen for stres relief)

1 tsp turmeric powder (most powerful anti inflammatory medicine)1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp nutmeg

1 tsp papaya seeds (most powerful parasite killers)

Salt and pepper to taste

METHOD

Ayurveda is all about warm & combining ingredient to ease our digestion.
Combine oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, turmeric, salt & pepper in a sauce pan, grate the apple & add your chosen milk.

When you use banana in your recipes, avoid mixing it with dairy product – banana & dairy don’t go together!
I use half milk & half water. Cook until soft stirring occasionally ~ 10-15 min.Let them cool down.

Combine all other Ingredients in a blender, add cooled down porridge & rest of the milk.

Blend until smooth.

Add/remove anything to your liking & tastebuds.

Be as adventures as you like with toppings. Close your eyes, connect with your food, say a little prayer -Enjoy!
